Application Process

The Observership Program offers an orientation to BronxCare Health System model of health care excellence and teamwork in an environment that, in addition to its clinical focus, includes opportunities to participate in research and education.

On the program application, please indicate your preference of rotations and dates available. Our rotations last a minimum of 8 weeks and a maximum of 12 weeks. If rotating at more than one site you are required to rotate on the service a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 4 weeks. Minimum of days each week on the service is 3 days per week, from 9 am to 5 pm.

There is a non refundable application fee based on the length of the rotation:

• 1 month – $250,
• 2 months – $400
• 3 months – $500. Checks should be made payable to BronxCare Health System Psychiatry Residency Training Program.  Currently we are fully scheduled until 2023, application at this time will be placed on waiting list.

You will be notified in writing either that your request has been accepted or that we cannot accommodate it at the time. If we are unable to provide your requested rotation, you will be offered the next available rotation date.
